Jennifer Macia, M.D.

Meet Dr. Jennifer Macia, a well-known pediatrician dedicated to delivering outstanding care to children. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Macia earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Rice University. She pursued her medical and public health education concurrently at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, receiving dual MD/MPH degrees. In 1999, she completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, training at renowned hospitals like Texas Children’s Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital. 

Since then, Dr. Macia has been an integral part of Pediatrics of Southwest Houston for over twenty years. She is actively involved in mentoring and educating residents and medical students at Baylor College of Medicine, illustrating her dedication to shaping the future healthcare workforce. Dr. Macia specializes in general pediatrics, with a keen focus on breastfeeding, nutrition, and adolescent medicine. Her commitment to delivering comprehensive care is evident in her empathetic approach and meticulous attention to each child’s specific needs. 

Outside of work, Dr. Macia cherishes spending time with her husband, Mario, their two daughters, and their beloved dog Charley.
